Outer Banks Northern Beaches

The Outer Banks of North Carolina (map) is an unspoiled treasure on the east coast.  A great deal of it is still undeveloped or protected wildlife sanctuaries.  Some areas and homes in the Northern Beaches are only accessible by four wheel drive vehicle and beach access.  This makes it a popular vacation spot for families looking to avoid the crowded and party atmosphere beaches found all over the Mid Atlantic coast.  If you do have a four wheel drive, you should really take a trip past the Corolla light to the end of the road, which ends on the beach.  Here, you may even see some of the wild horses or maybe just a lone wild horse on the beach still roaming this area.

Below, you will find the links to navigate this section devoted to information on the northern beaches of the Outer Banks.  To learn about our family trips there, go to the Vacation section of this site.

Hopefully, this site can give you a brief introduction to the Outer Banks (OBX) beaches north of Duck.  The opinions are my own, and unbiased - no payment for links or comment has ever been offered or accepted.  Please browse around and enjoy your vacation.
